A trailer PV and a key visual for the third film in the Toku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru- Setsugetsuka trilogy has been released. The film is titled “Hana no Maki” (Flower Story) and is scheduled to premiere in Japan on September 1, 2022.
The trailer PV gives us a glimpse into the final story of the series, and it reveals and previews the film’s theme song, “Oka no Tayori” (The Tidings of the Cherry Blossoms).

Hana no Maki is the third film in the Toku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru- Setsugetsuka trilogy.
The first film was titled Yuki no Maki” (Snow Story). It was directed by Takashi Naoya, and it premiered in Japan on May 20, 2022. The second film was titled “Tsuki no Maki” (Moon story). It was directed by Tomoaki Koshida, and it premiered in Japan on July 8, 2022.
These movies are preceded by Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru, a TV anime series directed by Takashi Naoya, written by Pierre Sugiura and produced by Doga Kobo. The first season of the anime aired from October to December 2016 for 12 episodes, and the second season aired from January to March 2018 for another 12 episodes.
The anime adaptations are based on the video game Touken Ranbu. It is a free-to-play collectible card browser video game developed by Nitroplus and DMM Games. It was launched in Japan in January 2015, and worldwide in April 2021.
What is the game about? The players in the game assume the role of a sage who travels into the past to defeat evil forces. He has the ability to animate famous swords from Japanese history, which are depicted as attractive young men!
