The Tokyo Revengers Season 2 release date is confirmed to be in January 2023, the Winter 2023 anime season.
Some new Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown news was leaked early, and honestly, given the success of the series, it’s not a surprise. It can be hard to wait when the material is just that good.
The leaks first seemed to have been posted on Twitter, back on October 28th, 2022. Originally this information was supposed to be announced officially in Weekly Shounen Magazine Issue 49, 2022 on November 2, 2022.
Included in the leaked information so far is a picture of a page from a magazine featuring familiar characters like Takemichi, Mitsuya, Hakkai, and several others. We can assume the picture posted to Twitter is the one that is also running in Weekly Shonen Magazine.
However, photos are not the only information that has been leaked. Along with the image, the names of two new voice actors and their characters were also leaked a few days later on Twitter by another source.
Along with the leaks, fans were treated to even more new content. A new trailer for the upcoming season dropped today as well, confirming the series will have a January 2023 release date.
The new voice actors for Tokyo Revengers Season 2
While getting a new key visual ahead of a season is pretty exciting, that’s not the only news fans are looking forward to.
According to the announcement, we’ll have two new characters joining us this season. The first is Captain Taiju Shiba. He will be voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, who has previously played characters in shows like Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, Bastard!!, Golden Kamuy, and more.
Also joining the cast of characters will be Taiju’s sister Yuzuha Shiba. She will be voiced by Mikako Komatsu, who will also be in series such as Edens Zero Season 2 and Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro Season 2.
There’s no doubt these two talented actors will bring their all with these characters, and we can’t wait to hear them.
When and where will I be able to watch Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown?
If you’ve already finished Tokyo Revengers Season 1 and have eagerly awaited the anime sequel, you won’t have to wait much longer.
Thanks to some previously released information, fans know that Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown will be released sometime in January 2023. While the official date has yet to be confirmed, there are several series events coming up where the official date could be released.
When it comes to watching the series, at least here in the United States, Crunchyroll will likely stream the anime again. It previously streamed both the sub and dub versions of the first season when it debut back in April of 2021.
