The Uncle from Another World Episode 8 release date on Netflix is on November 24, 2022.
The TV anime has witnessed a couple of delays due to the COVID-19 crisis; hopefully, this will be the last one.
The news was confirmed (again) on November 21, 2022, when Isekai Ojisan Episode 8 received a teaser PV, which you can see immediately below. The release date had previously been announced when the production was initially delayed, but now it’s certain that the new episode is coming out as planned.
Uncle from Another World Episode 7 aired on August 31, 2022.
Due to this latest hold-up, previous episodes were re-broadcast in October on the following TV stations:
- AT-X and BS11 — starting October 6, 2022
- TOKYO MX — starting October 7, 2022
- KBS Kyoto and Sun TV — starting October 8, 2022
- TV Aichi — starting October 11, 2022

Shigeki Kawai is directing the anime at Atelier Pontdarc. Kenta Ihara is in charge of the series scripts, whereas Kazuhiro Ota is handling character design and chief animation.
Isekai Ojisan is the first TV anime ever to be directed by Kawai. Previously, he worked as an assistant director for Blue Exorcist Season 2 and as an episode director for Gate Season 2, among other titles.

The Uncle From Another World OP theme song is “Story” by Mayu Maeshima, while the ED theme song is “Ichibanboshi Sonority” by Yuka Iguchi.
The TV anime is based on the eponymous (異世界おじさん, Isekai Ojisan) manga series by Hotondoshindeiru that has been serialized on Kadokawa Shoten’s ComicWalker since June 2018. The individual chapters have been collected into eight tankōbon volumes .
The Uncle From Another World English translation — licensed by Yen Press — is up to Volume 5. Isekai Ojisan Volume 6 will be out on February 21, 2023.
The plot of the series follows the titular middle-aged ojisan (uncle), who wakes up from a coma after 17 years, which he spent trapped in an isekai (alternate universe) world. During the time he was “away,” a lot of things have happened and his family has undergone a number of changes.
Uncle’s nephew Takafumi is the only one to greet him back to the world of the living. Takafumi will soon discover that ojisan has a couple of magical tricks up his sleeve but he’s worried about the fate of his favorite video games.
Uncle from Another is an isekai comedy title with many unexpected twists and turns.
