A Skip and Loafer TV anime teaser PV was released, revealing key information about the main cast and staff.
Not many details were revealed about the anime when it was first announced back in November 2021. Now along with the teaser PV, information related to the main cast and staff has finally been revealed.
The 30-second teaser PV introduces us to the main characters and gives us a hint about their relationship. Here is the teaser PV released by the production team on the DMM pictures Youtube channel:
Cast and staff
The main cast includes:
- Tomoyo Kurosawa, best known for playing Phosphophyllite in Land of the Lustrous, as Mitsumi Iwakura
- Akinori Egoshi, best known for playing Wodan Udgard in How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, as Sosuke Shima
Kotomi Deai (Natsume’s Book of Friends) is directing the anime at P.A. Works. He is also in charge of the series scripts. Manami Umeshita (Stella Women’s Academy, High School Division Class C³) is designing the characters. He is also serving as the Animation Director. Takatsugu Wakabayashi (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders) is composing the music.

Skip and Loafer or Skip to Loafer anime is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Misaki Takamatsu. The manga has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine since August 2018. As of today, six volumes have been released, and the seventh volume is set to release on June 22, 2022.
Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga for English publication in North America. Four volumes have been released by Seven Seas Entertainment and the fifth volume is set to release on July 26, 2022.
Skip and Loafer follows the story of Mitsumi Iwakura, a book-smart high school girl who left her countryside hometown to study in Tokyo. She soon finds out that living in a big city like Tokyo is nothing like her hometown.
We follow Mitsumi as she makes friends with Sosuke Shima, her chill and handsome classmate, and her adventurous life in a Tokyo high school.
Skip and Loafer ranked seventh on Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! list of best manga of 2020 for male readers. It was also nominated for the 44th and 46th Kodansha Manga Award in the general category in 2020 and 2022.
