After its announcement back in 2021, The Quintessential Quintuplets movie is finally here!
Or well, it is in for some fans at least. With a Japanese release date of May 20, 2022, tickets are already for sale nationwide in Japan according to the film’s official Twitter account.
Along with the movie, fans have been spoiled with the release of tons of promotions as well. A new visual was released, along with both the theme song and ending song for the movie. There’s also been quite a bit of new merch to coincide with the release of the film as well.
When will the movie be available in North America?
If you’ve been wondering when the movie will be available in other regions, you’re not alone. U.S. fans have been curious to know when and where the movie will release.
In the past, movies like Jujutsu Kaisen 0 or Demon Slayer: Mugen Train have seen great success with a theatrical release. Other films, such as Netflix’s Bubble, have been released straight to a streaming platform.
So far nothing has been announced on any social media platforms. Crunchyroll, the streaming platform that licenses the series in the USA, has not made any official statements regarding the release of the movie either.
What are the theme song and ending song for the movie?
With the release of The Quintessential Quintuplets movie, the official Twitter account has also released the names of both the movie’s theme song and the movie’s ending song as well.
The theme song for the movie will be “Gotoubun no Kiseki” by Nakanoke no Itsutsugo.
The ending song for the movie will be “Five Equal Brides – Thank You Flowers” by Nakanoke no Itsutsugo.
What merch has been released with the movie?
To promote the film, a number of promotional items have been announced for the franchise.
Earlier this year, Anime Geek reported on the new manga chapter that would be handed out at the film’s release.
Since then, a number of new “theater goods”, special releases that are sold or given away at the theater, have been announced as well. The items include things like special themed cups, posters, charms, acrylic stands, a collab with Sanrio, and more.
While non-local fans may not be able to get their hands on these items, Good Smile US and POP UP PARADE recently released a box set featuring figures of all five quintuplets for $177.99.
Fans can pre-order the set between now and June 19th, 2022.
